Summer Things to do in Stowe, VT

Continuing with our Summer Things To Do Blog posts we are going to share some summer fun things to do in Stowe, VT. We were looking to head out of town for a relaxing weekend away and decided for the second summer in a row to head to Stowe. We had a work trip here for a few days last summer and were looking for a nice and low-key location to head back to, and relax. Stowe is a town in northern Vermont. It’s overlooked by Mount Mansfield, known for its trails and ski slopes. But we keep coming here in the Summer so... check out our list below to see some warm weather activities!

We decided to make home base for a few days at Topnotch Resort! This is the second time we are staying at this resort and it did not disappoint, it was just as great as we remembered. Stay tuned for our room reveal video on this hotel! It has everything we were looking to take advantage of: a work out/fitness room, bike trails, two great restaurants on the property Flannel and The Roost, swimming indoor/outdoor pools, and a marshmallow roast/firepit to enjoy the cooler evenings. We promoted the fact we were staying at the hotel on social media before leaving for our trip and it earned us a $25 dining credit to The Roost where we ordered a dessert that was HUGE>>>> photos to follow! Breakfast at Flannel was delicious as well! It was so much more than a small dessert you typically receive at a restaurant see the pics below, we of course DID NOT finish it!

As for other restaurants in town we can recommend:

Piecasso for pizza, just delicious and you can stay or grab it to go!

Idletyme Brewing Company a beer-centric bistro serving American classics with a twist & craft brews in a warm ambiance. We recommend the Vermont Cheddar Fritters, with creamy fire roasted jalapeño sauce and their homemade pretzel nuggets to start!

Whip Bar and Grill a welcoming bar & grill in the Green Mountain Inn furnishing elevated American eats & microbrews. To start we recommend the Sesame Seed Crusted Ahi Tuna, seared with avocado mousse, pickled ginger, wasabi and sweet chili vinaigrette.
