Dead Horse Point State Park
Moab, Utah has a reputation for being an outdoor junkie's wonderland, and well it lives up to that reputation for sure. It's so close to both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. But smack-dab in the middle of both parks is Dead Horse Point State Park. It overlooks the Colorado River sitting 2,000 feet above gooseneck curve in the river. 5,362 acres of desert. Getting it's name from the 1800s where cowboys left horses on this plateau as a sort of natural corral
